Summer Learning Resources:

Below are suggested externals websites you and your child can use over the summer. Please take advantage of this to continue providing stimulating activities and opportunities for your child to retain all that they have learned - in addition to learning more! The resources are highlighted in red and can be clicked on to access.

  1. Reading Eggs : This resource is one that your child will continue to use in Kindergarten. An email and password was sent to you already. It has great reading and letter awareness activities/books.
  2. PBS Kids: This is a free website that offers various games in reading, letter awareness, number awareness, counting, and strategy skills. It is easy to navigate and search.
  3. CBC Kids: This is another free website that offers various activities, videos and online games for your child to use. It appears to have a lot of content that will enrich your child in various cultures, learning objectives and critical thinking skills.
  4. Funbrain Jr.: This resource will come in handy to do along side with your child in math, reading, and even printable activities. It has games, stories, stickers, and I believe can be used through an app as well.
  5. Boowa and Kwala: This is a website that has a lot of resources for various grade levels in reading, writing, and math skills. It has a ton of various games (musical, puzzles, guessing, strategy). The link provided takes you directly to games targeted for younger children, however if you feel your child is ready for advanced games try out the other grade levels!

As always, please remember these are suggestions and you are more than welcome to use the above resources or search for others. There is a lot out there but these are the ones I was able to find and felt appropriate to use. Tailor to you and your child's needs.
