Guiding our Belmont Eagles
I am excited to begin my fourth year as Assistant Principal at Belmont Elementary School. I am passionate about creating a nurturing learning environment where all students can thrive while maintaining high expectations and ensuring they receive the support they need to be successful. Building strong relationships with students, staff, and families is at the heart of my work, and I value partnering with families to support every child's learning journey.
Originally from Florida, I have traveled the world as a military spouse for more than 30 years. My husband and I are proud parents of two daughters who are pursuing successful careers in the creative arts as a graphic designer and professional dancer.
Education is my second career. Before becoming an educator, I worked as a journalist for major newspapers on both coasts. When my children were born, I discovered a passion for education and dedicated myself to supporting the growth and development of young learners. I have now served in education for nearly 20 years as an elementary classroom teacher and assistant principal.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and hold master's degrees from the University of Phoenix and East Carolina University. Outside of school, I enjoy the creative arts, sewing, gardening, and spending time with my family.
It is an honor to serve the Belmont community, and I look forward to another wonderful year of learning, growth, and success for all students.
Go Eagles! Together, we'll help every student soar. 🦅
I’m happy to be part of the Belmont Elementary family as an Administrative Intern. I have spent my career working with students, teachers, and families in a variety of educational roles. I enjoy building relationships, supporting students and staff, and helping families feel connected to the school community. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors, planting, and enjoying time with my family.
